Cano A. Ozgener
January 19, 1937 – June 9, 2018
“Changes happen for a reason. Through sickness and pain, I received a new understanding, a new beginning, a second life… Here I am. Cano the artist.”
Cano Ozgener led a full life of many stages. Having survived bouts with cancer, he began creating art to communicate his ideas in a variety of unique approaches. He explored these in a lively fashion after turning to painting as a challenging, therapeutic experience during his seventies and early eighties. His subjects reflect personal experiences and observations with an intellectual curiosity, playful humor, and his resolve to ‘move forward’ through artistic self-expression.
This exhibit honors Cano’s vast array of artworks depicting life as he saw it – from his first paintings to his last.
Some paintings are available for purchase here. Please inquire with our staff.
