Family Day at OZ Arts

Featuring Dan Zanes & Friends

August 9, 2014

“Dan Zanes is enriching the field with his dance-party, hootenanny for the 21st century…”
-LA TIMES

Family Day at OZ is an annual, full-day event of indoor and outdoor arts activities for young people and families, designed to spark creativity and expression. Dan Zanes (of the legendary rock n’ roll band The Del Fuegos) and his Brooklyn-based band highlight the days’ activities with a family-friendly concert featuring music from their Grammy-nominated children’s albums.

Zanes has been on a mission to bring great music that families can enjoy together to communities across the globe. His exuberant and inventive original music has sparked collaborations with Debbie Harry, Lou Reed, Sheryl Crow, Nick Cave and Natalie Merchant, to name a few. Click Here to enter to win a Dan Zanes CD!

Alex Lockwood will be utilizing as many recycled materials as possible for his art station. Bring contributions with you if you can: plastic tubular hangers, plastic bottle caps, and laundry detergent bottles & caps. The more recycling we have, the more art we can make together!
