FEATURING

a new dance work from

LENIN FERNANDEZ

With evocative and high velocity movement, choreographer Lenin Fernandez works with standout dancers Kristen Carrara, Becca Hoback, Emma Morrison, and Joi Ware to create a theatrical new work. Together, they use evocative choreography to interrogate the multidimensional archetypes in our personalities, blurring the lines between reality and the imagined world.

a multimedia-music hybrid from

GARDENING, NOT ARCHITECTURE

Sublime, multi-projector imagery sets the stage for composer/performer Sarah Saturday’s new Gardening, Not Architecture collaboration — featuring live music by Sarah, films by Dycee Wildman (Defy Film Festival), and movement by choreographer Joi Ware. Performing three original songs from her forthcoming Gardening, Not Architecture album, Sarah confronts the many facets of her personal identity and negotiates living with her Inner Critic on the path to becoming whole.

a theatrical performance art creation by

JENNIFER WHITCOMB-OLIVA

Conjuring an otherworldly environment that evokes a journey under the sea, riveting performer and writer Jennifer Whitcomb-Oliva leads the audience on an adventure inspired by Afrofuturism and its roots in diasporic mythos. Creating a fusion of original poetry, rich soundscape, and staged movement, Jennifer utilizes her arresting stage presence to confront her own origin story and fantastical future.

a self-choreographed solo dance work by

ALEXANDRA WINER

With a heightened theatrical sensibility and a mesmerizing stage presence, choreographer Alexandra Winer creates a wholly original solo work using an irresistible and sonically rich percussive score. Precise and mechanical dances give way to an athletic marathon of movements that challenge personal limits and create a stunning self-portrait of an artist in motion.
