Audrey Shulman is a working screenwriter and proud Nashville native. Audrey spent an entire year baking cakes and taking them to bars around Los Angeles, chronicling her adventures for The Huffington Post, and later landing a book deal with Abrams Image. Audrey’s blog about the project was featured on The Rachael Ray Show, Jezebel, The New York Post, The LA Times, and On Air With Ryan Seacrest. Audrey sold a feature version of the project to Amazon Studios, which stars Yara Shahidi, Ron Livingston, and Bette Midler. In addition to SITTING IN BARS WITH CAKE, Audrey has written six features for the Hallmark Channel covering every possible season, and is currently developing projects with Sony Pictures Television, Di Novi Pictures, and Amazon Studios.

Audrey is interested in a better, more inclusive South, marginalized communities, aging and disability, grief and resilience, and underdog stories that are equal parts funny and emotional. She is proud to have served as a volunteer mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters and CASA of Los Angeles.
