The Great and Secret Guide to Nashville tells the story of our city that exists every day with the one that never was. This collection of 3-minute tales takes listeners to a Nashville filled with secret landscapes, hidden characters, and magic around every corner in stories that illuminate the race, class, and social fault lines that run through the city.
The stories are told by master raconteur Mike Daisey and were commissioned by OZ Arts as a prelude to one of his performances at the inaugural Speak Easy, which includes four days of national and local storytellers performing live at OZ Arts.
All 18 stories are available for listening in a library within OZ Arts’ Escaparate, which is open during normal business hours. OZ Arts will release several stories a week online between now and Speak Easy.
