Born in Columbus, Ohio, Janet found a love of writing at an early age. After graduating with a degree in English Literature from the University of Evansville, she moved to Nashville to begin her career. Working with top luxury properties, like Loews Vanderbilt Hotel and The Hermitage Hotel, she elevated the brands to the top of the market through effective communications and revenue generation. In 2016, Janet founded Kurtz Hospitality Marketing, a communications and public relations consulting firm for the hospitality industry. After a successful run as an entrepreneur, Janet looked to her writing roots and took on the role of Editor in Chief of the luxury lifestyle publication Nfocus magazine. There she leads a team as they cover the vibrant personalities of Music City.
